If you're struggling with grief, several resources may be able to help you. Individual counseling, local grief support groups, and online websites can assist in working through your grief.
Through our community partners we provide grief counseling services and ongoing classes on a variety of topics to help families.
Online resources such as discussion forums, educational tools, and communities can provide additional assistance. To get help in dealing with grief, you may find the following websites helpful.

Heartlight Center Grief Services
HeartLight has partnered with local organizations to provide a variety of virtual support groups, educational opportunities, resources, and special programming related to grief and loss. In the weeks, months, or years ahead, we invite you, your family, and friends to connect with HeartLight Center in a way that feels meaningful and supportive to you.

Local Support

Local In-Person Grief Support
Our In-Person Grief Support Groups occur every Friday at 10:00 AM. Registration is not required to attend multiple sessions but is encourage so counselors may properly prepare for the number of attendees.

Our Survivors of Suicide Group meets the 1st and 3rd Mondays of every month at 6PM CST. This support group is appropriate for adults whose loved one has died by suicide. Our Healing After Substance Use Loss Group occurs the 2nd and 4th Mondays of every month at 6PM CST.

Local Virtual Grief Support Groups
Virtual-Person Grief Events occur every Wednesday at 6:00 PM. Registration is not required to attend multiple sessions. Potential attendees must register at least once to receive the virtual conference space login information. The login information will not change week to week.

Grief Plan
GriefPlan, created by Dr. Jason Troyer, includes a 65-video program to help you heal, remember, and rebuild after loss. Free grief e-booklets are also available.

What's Your Grief
What's Your Grief offers online and in-person continuing education training for grief support professionals. Using an accessible approach and a combination of practical and creative tools, we strive to help participants utilize relevant and useful theories, tools, and techniques in their work with people grieving a wide range of losses.

Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS)
TAPS is the national nonprofit organization providing compassionate care and comprehensive resources for all those grieving the death of a military or veteran loved one.

Grief Share
GriefShare is a Christian-based nationwide network of groups of people who meet weekly to share and support each other during the grief process.

Dougy Center
At Dougy Center, we create safe spaces and free resources for children and families who are grieving. Our pioneering peer grief support model, professional training, and world-renowned programs and advocacy bring hope and healing around the world.

Sesame Workshop: When Families Grieve
