Walter Leo Deering III “Leo” peacefully passed away on June 6, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Leo was born in St Louis and graduated from CBC High School in 1968, Southwest Missouri State, now Missouri State University, in 1972.
Leo is survived by his wife Teri, son Ryan, sisters Karen Deering & Jean (Mike) Ferguson. Husband, father, sibling, uncle, coach, mentor- he will be missed by family and friends.
Beyond his love for family and everything St Louis, Leo shared his passion for coaching health and fitness with everyone he met.
His mantra to support his athletes to be Faster - Quicker - Stronger - Safer!
Preceded in death by his parents Walter “Red” Deering Jr. and Jacqueline June Deering.
A celebration of Leo will be held at CBC High School on Saturday June 19, 2021. Visitation 10 am, Mass at 11 am, reception to follow.
