Tina M. Cloedy

d. November 14, 2019

Tina Mary Cloedy (Rebello), 56 of O’Fallon, MO died peacefully with family by her side on Thursday, November 14, 2019, after a 2 ½ year battle with breast cancer.  Tina was born on February 16, 1963 in St. Louis, MO where she lived her whole life.  She is survived by her son, Patrick; her parents, William and Dorothy Rebello; her 4 siblings, Janice (Peter) Pless of Meadville, PA; William (Karla) Rebello of St. Louis, MO; Paul (Katie) Rebello of St. Louis, MO; Diane (Chris) Hammerstone of Fulton, MO; and nine nieces and nephews.
She graduated from Hazelwood East High School in 1980, then pursued her associated degree in Graphic Arts from Florissant Valley Community College.  She worked for various companies designing their catalogues for marketing.
Her son Patrick was the light of her life.  Her face would light up and be more animated as she talked about him.  She loved him deeply and unconditionally and was very proud of him.  He was always her main concern, especially as she became more ill.  He brought her peace and comfort.  Her dog Emma was also very special to her and brought her great joy.
She loved her family and friends and looked forward to spending time with them.  She always made everyone feel special. She enjoyed playing softball and bowled in many leagues.
She was very passionate, talented and creative in all forms of art, from drawing to three dimensional designs.  They all expressed her thoughtful, contemplative, caring, beautiful nature.  She would use bold bright colors because that’s what she loved about people and the beauty of the world that surrounds us.  It reminded us all to enjoy and appreciate the people and physical world we live in.
Tina fought everyday against the debilitating effects of depression and anxiety.  Her art provided an outlet for the positive and beautiful feelings still inside her that she had trouble expressing.
She was an advocate of NAMI, National Alliance on Mental Illness, and their mission to help the mentally ill.  She believed there weren't enough resources and help available to people who suffered with these illnesses.
Tina was a patient at Siteman Cancer Center of St. Louis during her battle against breast cancer.  She would frequently post articles about the research they were pursuing in the fight against cancer.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at Baue Funeral Home in O’Fallon, MO, 311 Wood St., on Friday, November 22, from 2-4 pm, with a service to follow at 4.
