Susan Hawksley

Susan (Susie/Sue) Ruth Hawksley, 66, of St. Charles, MO, passed away on October 17, 2019, due to breast cancer.

Susan was born in Fulton, New York on July 25, 1953. She graduated from G. Ray Bodley High School and continued on to receive a Registered Professional Nurse from The Genesee Hospital School of Nursing.

Susan worked as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years. She enjoyed singing, playing the piano, gardening, reading, crocheting, sewing, stained glass, and researching family history. She was also actively involved in the caring ministry at Calvary Church and The Daughters of the American Revolution.

Susan is survived by children; Gregory Merrifield (Kelly), Andrew Merrifield (Natalie), Aidan Leisti, mother; Melba Ruth Hawksley, siblings; Carol Faso (Donald), Richard Hawksley (Joan), Fred Hawksley, Todd Hawksley (Kelly); nieces: Julie Civiletti (James), Michele French (Matthew), Leah Ratchford (Joel), Samantha Hawksley, Sydney Hawksley, nephews; Joel Hawksley (Caitlin), Daniel Hawksley, Chad Hawksley (Crystal), and Brian Hawksley (Courtney) as well as other family and friends.

Susan is preceded in death by Clarence “Bud” Hawksley and Mark Hawksley.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on October 24, 2019 at 3998 Mid Rivers Mall Dr. St. Peters, MO 63376. Mark Mehlig of Calvary Church will be officiating.
