Sherman L. “Shorty” Jones

Sherman L. “Shorty” Jones, 67, of Winfield passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 10, 2019.  Shorty was born in Lawton, OK on October 14, 1951.  He was a member of the Carpenter’s Union and served our country in Vietnam where he earned the Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal and many other medals during his service.  Shorty was passionate about his Harley motorcycles and loved visiting with his family and friends.

Shorty is survived by his daughter, Sandy Davis of Collinsville, IL, granddaughters Michelle and Zoey Craft of North Carolina, along with his brothers David Jones, Jeffrey Jones and sister Geneva Emery all of St. Louis, MO.   He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Shorty was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Jones of Winfield, his parents Russell Jones and Doris Broughton, and his sisters Kathy Snyder and Sherry Jones.

A full Military Service was held at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 9:00 a.m.
