Kottmann, Shawn, of O Fallon, MO, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at the age of 43. Cherished son of Lynda Nimtz and the late Gary Kottmann; devoted father of Shawn Kottmann and Carter Kottmann; dear brother of Theresa Neimeyer, Jennifer Zielke, Thomas J. Wynne, Walter Nimtz, Patrick Nimtz, Dustin Nimtz, and Scott Nimtz; treasured grandson of Charles and June Fierling; dear nephew and cousin to many. Shawn is also survived by the love of his life Jenny Pettig. Shawn is preceded in death by his grandparents Vernon and Rosemary Kottmann.
Shawn’s family was his greatest joy, especially his sons. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
