Ronald James Whiting, Jr., passed away peacefully on January 25, 2024, at his residence surrounded by family. He was born on March 2, 1942, in Miami, FL.
Ron led a life filled with remarkable achievements. After graduating from the Citadel in 1964 he proudly served his country as an Army 1st Lieutenant. He later embarked on a successful career as an Actuary and became a respected business owner.
Ron loved to travel, enjoyed boating, horses and spending time with his family.
Above all else, family meant everything to Ron. He cherished each moment spent with them. His love knew no bounds as a devoted husband to Denise Whiting; loving father of Natalie (Roger) Gemmell and Heather (Nick) Bahr; adoring grandfather of Brenden, Brianna, Blake, and Drew; dear brother of Wayne (Marge) Whiting and Linda Whiting.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Whiting Sr, and Madge (Donald) DuBois (nee: Neely), and his wife, Denise Whiting (nee: Temmen).
A Graveside Service to honor Ronald's life will be held at 9:00am on Monday, February 19, 2024. He will be laid to rest with his beloved wife, Denise Whiting, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO, located at 2900 Sheridan Road, this serene setting will serve as a fitting tribute to a couple who appreciated the peacefulness nature had to offer.
