Robert A. Lee

Robert (Rob) Allen Lee, 72, completed his journey home on Friday, December 23, 2022 after a battle with pneumonia. He passed away comforted by his wife, Paula Lee; his children, David Lee and Rachel Rosenfield and their families by his side.

After being one of the last graduating classes from the University High School in Carbondale, Illinois; he moved to New Jersey for a time and built houses in the construction company that he founded with his brother-in-law, John Johnson. Rob attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, and finished his Engineering degree at the University of Illinois, Chicago campus. Rob was a bridge engineer who worked on many successful projects throughout the Midwest over the past three decades. A person of good taste, Rob often used his residential construction skills to maintain and improve several properties throughout his life.

Rob is survived by his wife, Paula Lee; his two children, David Lee and Rachel Rosenfield; and as he lovingly called his grandchildren, “his little wiggle worms”; sister, Katherine Lee: two step-daughters, Petrona Kasemeier and Yolanda Usera; Rob is also survived by the family of his long-deceased sister, Roberta Johnson and his two dogs, Ben and Jerry. His extended family enjoyed gathering at Rob and Paula’s home for the holidays for more than a decade. “Grandpa Coffee” as his grandkids called him, is greatly missed by his family and friends.

A private memorial service will be held in the Spring to celebrate his life. For more information contact Cremation Society of Missouri.
