Robert “Bob” E. Cook Jr.

Robert “Bob” E. Cook, Jr., of Hillsboro, MO (formerly of Belleville, IL) passed away at age 77 of heart failure on February 20, 2022. Born on May 10, 1944 in St. Louis, he was predeceased by his parents, Robert E. and Evelyn L. (Hancock) Cook and his daughter Leslee Cook Edwards.  He is survived by his sisters Mary Evelyn Cook, Margie (Cook) Evans Foster, Jean (Cook) Buchana and his grandchildren Clarence (CJ) Edwards, Amanda Hooper, Adrian Hooper and great-granddaughter Lilith Ninna Hooper as well as many nieces and nephews.

He received trained in the Air Force as an electrician and was a lifetime member of the IBEW Union of St. Louis.  His hobbies included photography, fishing, cooking and tinkering.  He loved to play pool with many cherished friends who were a great help to him later in life.  He was very proud of his Irish heritage.

Graveside ceremony will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 10101 W Main, Belleville, IL at noon on Saturday May 28, 2022.  All are welcome.
