Richard Olsen

Richard (Rick) Olsen, 79, of Wentzville, MO, died on March 10, 2024.

Rick was born in Kenmare, ND and attended Bowbells High School before entering the Navy when he turned 17.

Rick was married to Patti (Neary) Olsen on July 19, 2008.  They were married for 15 years.

Rick is survived by his wife Patti Olsen; two children, Guy (Karen) Olsen and Jeffrey (Victoria) Olsen; his stepchildren, Adam (Robyn) Porter, Rita Porter and Steven (Elena) Porter; his grandchildren, Jessica Olsen, Courtney Olsen, Kaitlyn (Antonio) LaRocca, Andrew Olsen, Chase Olsen, Alex Olsen, Lucy Porter, Abbie Porter, Luke Porter, Jace Porter, Sylvia Porter and Samuel Porter, his great grandchildren, Bennett, Hutton and Eleanor; dear sister Phyllis (Olsen) Paulson and brother Elmer (Audrey) Olsen

He is preceded in death by his father, Harvey Olsen, mother, Bernice (Dahnkert) Hines, stepfather Guy Hines; and sisters Anna Mae (Ray) Bryant, Beverly (Merlin) Bryant and Marian (Dave) Mull.

Rick was a dedicated, hardworking man, who loved his family immensely.

A Memorial Service with military honors will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 11:00 am. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at VFW Post 5327 in Wentzville, MO on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
