Danna Jr., Peter Joseph, 83, of Chesterfield, MO, died on July 19, 2021.
Peter was born in St. Louis, MO, and graduated from Christian Brothers College High School (CBC), he earned an engineering degree from The United States Naval Academy (USNA), and got his masters degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE).
He was married to Brooke Etzel Danna on September 8, 1967 and they were married for 54 years.
Peter served in the United States Navy for 9 years after graduation from USNA and had tours of duty all over the world including Vietnam. He was a proud Vietnam veteran. He went on to work for Ralston Purina and ended his career in their Investment Recovery group. He retired from Ralston after 33 years as a loyal employee. Peter rarely missed a Sunday mass and he was an active alumni member for both CBC and the USNA. He also was involved in the Knights of Columbus, Reliv, and he loved being a board member of the YMCA.
Peter is survived by his wife, Brooke Etzel Danna, and his four children, Paige (Scott) Linden, Danielle (Nick) Brunnworth, Kristen (Jon) Schulte, and Peter (Jen) Danna lll; his grandchildren, Colette, Lauren, Luke, Parker, Chase, Brock, Marc, Adrian, Peter, Ashlyn, Abby, Jake, and Josie; and his brother, Michael (Janet) Danna and his sister, Diane (Martin) Kerckhoff.
He is preceded in death by his parents Peter Joseph Danna Sr. and Harriette Piersall Danna.
A Catholic mass will be held at 10:00 am at Ascension Church in Chesterfield, MO on Friday, August 6. A luncheon will be served immediately following mass at the multipurpose room of the church. The burial will start promptly at 2:30 pm at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
A celebration of life party will be held at Twin Chimneys Clubhouse, 7145 Twin Chimneys Blvd, O’Fallon, MO 63368 starting at 6 pm - open house.
