Paul Donald Sage

Paul Donald Sage, 87, of St. Charles, MO, died peacefully on September 26, 2018 after a long illness. A loving husband to Alvera (nee Braun) for 63 years, he selflessly, with Alvera, raised 5 children: Charlotte (Kul) Bhasin, Stephen (Beverly) Sage, Phyllis Altheide, Donna Squires, Julie (Paul) Winkelmann. Loving Grandfather to Jeffrey, Kevin, Joseph, Timothy, Christopher, Stephanie, Martha, Paul, Michael, Anna, and John. Great-grandfather to Jenna. He is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Sage, and mother, Anna (Cointin) Sage and 5 siblings: Dorothy, Ethel, Arthur, Viola, Ralph and grandchildren, Michael and Matthew. He served in the Army during the Korean conflict. With ADT Security in St. Louis for 34 years, he worked tirelessly as a supervisor making good judgement calls for the security of local businesses. He will be remembered as a kind and compassionate soul, who loved history, poetry, dogs, fishing, yoga and thinking about the mysteries of life and the universe.

Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial gathering to remember Paul on Sunday, October 14, 2018, 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral & Cremation Center, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Charles, MO 63304.  Inurnment at St. Charles Memorial Garden. As family was first and foremost to Paul, in lieu of flowers, he would like you to be kind and do something nice for someone in your own family, in his memory.
