Mary Catherine Spavale

Mary Spavale, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished member of her family, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

She shared 51 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Gerald Spavale, building a life centered around love, family, and the memories they created together.

She was a loving mother to her four children and a cherished mother-in-law to her two sons-in-law. Her family was the greatest joy of her life, and she took immense pride in her children and grandchildren. Her love, strength, and devotion to her family will forever remain a part of their lives.

She was a proud grandmother whose grandchildren brought her immeasurable joy. She treasured the time she spent with them and the memories they created together. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Jacob Spavale, who passed away on October 31, 2023. Though his time with her was far too short, the love she carried for him remained with her always.

Mary was also preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Schultz, and her sister, Lucy Schultz. She is survived by her sister, Darlene Voegelie, who shared a lifetime of memories and family history with her.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Gerald Spavale; her four children, August Spavale, Catherine (Robert) Perkins, Maryann (Warren) Bohnenstiehl, and Anthony Spavale; her two sons-in-law, Robert Perkins and Warren Bohnenstiehl; her beloved grandchildren; her sister, Darlene Voegelie; and other family members and loved ones who will miss her deeply.

Her family will remember her not only for the love she gave them, but for the countless ways she made their lives richer simply by being their wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. The lessons she taught, the memories she created, and the love she gave will continue through the generations.

While her family mourns the tremendous loss of her presence, they take comfort in knowing that her love will never leave them. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and always loved.
