Mary E. Mitchell

Mary Ellen Mitchell passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on May 1, 2022. She was 70 years old.

Mary was born on March 26th, 1952 in Garfield, Oklahoma to John McNally and Martha (Hanna) McNally. Mary grew up in Muskogee, Oklahoma and graduated from Central High School in 1970. She finished her schooling at Chapman College with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Economics.

Mary worked as an accountant for many years in various cities across Missouri while raising her 2 daughters, Hanna and Haley. She enjoyed traveling with close friends and cousins over the years. In retirement she was able to share this passion with her girls, taking numerous trips and creating new memories.

Mary was also an avid gardener. She earned the title of Advanced Master Gardener and volunteered at her community garden. Mary loved shopping for fresh produce at local farmer’s markets or small co-ops nearby. She explored different culinary techniques and had a collection of over 200 cookbooks.

Mary was loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She truly cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and spoiled them at every opportunity. She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.

Mary is survived by her brother, John (Cindy) McNally; two children, Hanna (Justin) Wilson, Haley (Tim) Ronzio; two grandchildren, Andrew and Aubrey Ronzio; companion, Kenneth Wagner; and other extended family and close friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00PM at Oliver’s in Warrenton, Missouri on Saturday, May 21, 2022. A subsequent Celebration of Life will be held later in the summer in Oklahoma, more details to follow.
