Marie Patrice (Campbell) Sharp, 63, passed away peacefully, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO, on December 19, 2022, surrounded by her family who loved her dearly. She was born on January 18, 1959, the 8th of 9 children, to the late Loyal Anzel and Eleanor Josephine (Loeffler) Campbell in St Charles, MO.
Marie is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Stephen Randall Sharp of O'Fallon, MO; four children, Citrina Crystal Deuser of St. Charles, MO, Dea Sun Deuser (Jerod Gates) of Sibley, MO, Stephen Randall Sharp II (Rebecca) of St Charles, MO, and Phoebe Kathryn Sharp (Marcos Rodriguez) of Luling, TX; seven grandchildren, Ariana Nelson, Kinsey and Alyvia Gates, Lucy, Emma, and Owen Sharp, and Emilia Rodriguez; her best friend Cathy Long Gargus; her sisters Wanda Cronan, Emily Flowers, and Ruth Owens, her brother Thomas Campbell, and many nieces and nephews, all of which she loved and adored. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws Willard and Mildred Sharp, brother and sisters Joseph Campbell, Margie Gray, Sharon Lovell, and Theresa Buecker, and countless other loved ones.
All who knew Marie, knew that she had a huge, giving heart, put family first, and was the best cook in the family. She could drink you under the table with a delicious batch of margaritas, and enjoyed a good game of Bingo and playing slot machines! Marie loved Steve, her children, and her grand babies more than anything in this world! She was well-known for her Potato Salad, Coleslaw, To-Die-For Cherry Pie, Chocolate Meringue Pie, and Mississippi Mud Pie, just to name a few. She loved nothing more than seeing those who she cares about happy and fulfilling their dreams, and was always there to help in any way she could. She was a true Jane-of-All-Trades, whether that meant being a woodworker, seamstress, foster mom, babysitter, teacher, therapist, mathematician, nurse, baker, party planner, biggest supporter, manager, or even just a quiet shoulder. Whatever was needed of her, that is what she was.
For all those who loved Marie as much as we forever will, please join us Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Baue Funeral Home, 311 Wood St, O'Fallon, MO 63366, from 1-3pm for visitation followed by a short memorial service and time for sharing memories.
