Machelle Pelkey

Machelle Pelkey (Fabecich) of Wentzville, MO found peace after a long struggle with colon cancer surrounded by family on Monday, September 24, 2018 at the age of 48.

Machelle's life began in Chicago. As she explored new residences, she touched many lives and cared for all. She found true love and made a home with her husband, Kevin in Wentzville. She was a woman of many talents and extraordinary strength. Anyone that sat at her table would tell you she was a phenomenal cook, besides the fact that most of her meals were constructed with fresh ingredients that came out of her own garden. We all envied her talent of turning trash into treasures. She up-cycled old furniture and built new pieces like benches, tables, and chairs. Her artistic eye and creative hand led to  many artworks that decorated her home and the homes of many others. Machelle had a loving heart and great sense of humor. We all loved her spirit and candid opinions. Machelle is survived by Kevin (husband), dearest sister to Phil, Natalie, Tricia, Connie, and Mike, and adored aunt to many nieces and nephews. Machelle is preceded in death by her father John Fabecich and grandparents Frances and Milton Schroeder.

A private family celebration of life will be held in her honor. Memorial contributions can be sent to Kevin Pelkey, 600 Wilmer Meadow Drive, Wentzville, MO 63385, to be dispersed to all the caring centers that helped Machelle during her battle with cancer.

We will all miss her beauty here on earth and find comfort in knowing she is at peace with God.
