Lucille Elizabeth Panza, née Blouin, 96, of Sun City, CA passed away on October 23rd, 2023.
She was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on April 26, 1927 and graduated from St. George High School in Manchester, NH. She continued on to receive a nursing certificate. Shortly afterwards, she and her friend, Monique, moved to California, where she spent the next 70 years. It was there, in Los Angeles, on December 30, 1950 that she married Paul Panza. They were married 65 years.
Lucille worked many years as a registered nurse for various hospitals in California, usually in the maternity ward. She enjoyed visiting family, speaking French (her native language), dancing, knitting, sewing, and traveling. After her retirement, she was actively involved as a hospital volunteer.
Lucille is survived by her son Russell Panza and his wife Gail, her son Steven Panza and his wife Doris, her granddaughter Victoria Westhoff and her husband Alan, her great-grandson Paul Westhoff and his unborn baby sister, and other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Paul Panza, their son James Panza, and her brother Reverend Roland Blouin.
A small, graveside funeral service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, CA at a later date. A mass will also be offered at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Washington, MO in the future.
