Lois Wade

January 9, 2022

Wade, Lois Marie (nee: McCann), 80, of St. Charles, MO, passed away on January 9, 2022.

Lois was born on February 20, 1941 to her loving parents, Leonard H. & Marie C. McCann. She married Robert B. Elder in 1960 and had 2 children, Terri (Tim) Bekebrede & Robert E. Elder. On April 16th of 1981, Lois married Oliver E. Wade. Together, they started and ran LOMAR Masonry Company for 14 years. Lois and Ollie made a dynamic couple and would have celebrated 40 wonderful years together this spring.

Lois was a fun, energetic, intelligent, and strong woman. She made it a point to never miss anyone’s birthday or any special event for her children or grandchildren. Lois enjoyed planning and attending activities such as Shriner events, Cardinal Baseball games, race car trips, and Las Vegas trips. When she was in charge of an event, it was done to perfection. She also loved attending concerts with her family including numerous Nashville FanFare Weeks, the OakRidgeBoys, Bob Seger, and Elvis Presley. Lois loved taking the grandkids to Disney on Ice, Sesame Street Shows, and Shriner Circuses, always making sure to have the best seats available. She was a great cook and we’ll never be able to replicate her famous Clam Chowder, gooey butter cookies, deviled eggs, and pumpkin pies.

Lois leaves behind many loving family members and friends that will never forget her.

In addition to her husband, Ollie and her children, Terri and Rob, Lois leaves behind her grandchildren: Joe (Katie) Bekebrede, Erin (Adam) Strein, Blake Elder, and Olivia Elder; and her great-grandchildren: Austin, Andrea, Henry, and Nolan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Shriners Children’s Hospital in St. Louis.

The family will gather to celebrate Lois’ life in a private service.
