Kent Buckner

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kent "Buck" Buckner on September 23, 2026. Born on January 5, 1962, Buck lived a life that was vibrant and full, touching the lives of all who were fortunate to know him.

Buck was known for his infectious joy and kindness. He led a life of laughter and love, setting an example with his hard work and determination. His genuine spirit was seen in his dedication to living life to its fullest and inspiring others to do the same. He lived by the lesson of being kind and truly living life, a valuable lesson he imparted on all those around him.

Buck's accomplishments were far-reaching. His tenure as a Youth Basketball coach changed the lives of many young individuals, instilling in them not just the skills of the game, but also the invaluable attributes of leadership, teamwork, and commitment. As an inspiring mentor to his employees, Buck motivated others to strive for their very best. A successful business owner and proud of what he built from the ground up. A testament to his generous heart, Buck lent a helping hand to all in need, volunteering his time and efforts willingly.

His love and knowledge of all things sports were abundant in his life, always enjoyed sharing a fun fact. His joy of fishing, golfing and playing poker and just hanging with those he loved was a constant in his life.

Buck's legacy is one of kindness and generosity. He was a man who never knew a stranger, making an instant connection with everyone he encountered. His love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life. Buck was the kind of person who could light up any room he entered with his charisma and sense of humor. He loved to tell stories and share all things funny, imbuing joy and laughter wherever he went. His unassuming, down to earth and quiet confidence was both comforting and magnetic.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles & Donella Buckner. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Veronica (Roni) Buckner, and loving brother, Jody Buckner, loving sister, Sandra Felker along with numerous nieces, nephews , great nieces and nephews and other family members and friends whose lives have been enriched by having known him. Buck's life was a testament to the power of kindness, laughter, and love. He will be truly missed but will continue to inspire us with his life well-lived.

There will be a Celebration of Life on November 15th, 2026 - 2 pm - 7 pm
