Karen Eileen Reeves (Meyer), beloved mother and sister, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the age of 59. Karen was born May 2, 1959, in St. Charles, MO. She enjoyed a career as an electronics technician and instructor with the U.S. Navy, before moving to Colorado to work in the aerospace industry. She returned to St. Charles to raise her children and was living most recently in Troy, MO. Karen was preceded in death by her parents Alma (Amy) (Haugen Meyer) Boschert and David Meyer, both of St. Charles, and is survived by her sons Scott Reeves, of California and Michael Reeves of Missouri, her granddaughter Sloan Reeves, her sisters Gail Kohlmeyer, Audrey Meyer Lampert, and Joan Meyer Kice, her former husband Robert Reeves, and her stepfather Jack Boschert. She also leaves behind many relatives and friends who mourn the loss of her colorful life.
She is remembered for her playful humor, her dedication to raising two children as a single parent, and the pride she took in serving in the military.
A funeral mass celebrating her life will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic church on Wednesday, September 5th at 10 am, followed by a luncheon in the parish hall. Internment with full military honors will be at 1:30 pm at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
