Joy Lynee Ennis-Naes

Joy Lynee Ennis-Naes age 45 of Wright City, MO passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lake Saint Louis, MO. Joy was born on April 16, 1973 in Utica, NY, the daughter of the late James J. Ennis Sr. and Nancy Graham of Austin, TX.

Joy spent the first part of her life in the Utica, NY area and moved to Illinois in the later part of high school. She graduated in 1992 from Wood River High School in East Alton, IL. She eventually relocated to Missouri where she met the love of her life, Jon at True Manufacturing, Inc., were they worked together.

Joy most recently worked in the cafeteria where her sons attended school in the Wright City School District. She enjoyed taking her family to various parks, pumpkin patches and on hayrides in the fall, as well as traveling to various parts of the United States for vacation each year. She loved spending time with her husband and three sons and captured many of those cherished moments with a camera.

Joy is survived by her husband Jon Naes and three sons: Dakota (14), Brenek (11) and Dalton (10) of Wright City, MO; her mother, Nancy Graham of Texas; two brothers: James J. Ennis Jr. of New York and Steve Ennis (Ingrid) of Texas; three sisters: Holly Rippo (Travis) of New York, Alison J. Swartz of New York, and Karen Cardillo (Greig) of New York; father and mother-in-law Gary and Sharon Naes of Missouri; and sisters-in-law: Casey Massman (Travis) of Missouri, and Melanie Hebda (Derek) of Missouri. She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as the family’s canine companion, Sammie.

Joy was predeceased by her father, James J. Ennis of New York and stepfather, Boyd Graham of Texas.

The family of Joy Lynee Ennis-Naes and her recently deceased husband, Gary Jon Naes, invites friends and loved ones to a joint graveside service on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 1:00pm at Mount Zion Cemetary where Jon and Joy will be interred together. Mount Zion Cemetery is located at 1522 Highway K, O'Fallon, Missouri, 63366.
