Gus Lee Bell, 78, Superior WI and Bridgeton MO, passed with his daughter at his side at 3:52pm on January 11th, 2024, at DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton MO.
He was born in Superior WI on May 19th, 1945, to Mary (Martin) Goodell and Leslie Bell Sr.
He had a vast array of talents including IT, survivalist living, gardening, and fixing ANYTHING. He was a Navy Veteran and spent many years on ocean liners as a Merchant Marine Boiler operator.
His favorite pastimes include fishing with his grandchildren, Alex and Riley, playing Yahtzee, bingo, skip-bo, dice, hunting with his son-in-law Jamie and stepson Donny, and playing with his great granddaughter Coraline Lee.
Gus is survived by his daughter, Samantha (Jamie) MacDonald, Bridgeton MO; grandchildren Alexandra Roethle, New Richmond WI; Riley MacDonald, Bridgeton MO; great granddaughter Coraline Lee Roethle, New Richmond WI; Stepson Don (Shelby) Hobson, Superior WI; stepdaughter Elizabeth Bey, Clinton MO; step grandsons Dustin Hobson, Garrett Hobson, Timothy McCarthy; siblings Janet Olson, Linda Toppings, Joseph Patterson, Lisa Ruth and Just DeVeau; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and special lifelong friends.
**A celebration of life will be held in Superior WI on July 27th, 2024, in Billings Park WI.
