Jon Naes

Gary Jon Naes, 50, of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away on September 3, 2025. He was born on November 9, 1974, in Saint Louis, Missouri, to the late Gary and Sharon Naes.

Jon was a cherished son, brother, husband, father, uncle, cousin, and friend whose sense of humor touched everyone who knew him. He graduated from Francis Howell North High School in 1994 and later met the love of his life, Joy Ennis, while working at True Manufacturing in O’Fallon. Jon and Joy married in 2005 and were blessed with three children: Dakota, Brenek, and Dalton. Joy preceded him in death in 2019.

Known for his witty responses (a trait definitely inherited from his dad) and the stubborn loyalty he showed to his family and friends, Jon was the kind of person you could always count on. He loved watching sports—especially cheering on the St. Louis Blues—and spending time with family and friends who meant the world to him.

Jon is survived by his children, Dakota, Brenek, and Dalton; his sisters, Melanie (Derek) Hebda and Casey (Travis) Massman; his extended family of in-laws; and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Naes; his mother, Sharon, who passed away in July 2025; his wife, Joy; his father-in-law, James Ennis Sr.; and his brother-in-law, Greg McDowell.

Our hearts are broken, but we hold tightly to the many good memories. Jon never stopped fighting to hold on to the people he loved most, even when he was struggling himself.

A graveside service will be held with a joint interment for Jon and Joy at Mount Zion Cemetery in O’Fallon, Missouri. Service details will be shared once they become available.
