Donna L. Lindsey (nee Duncan), 93 of Maryland Heights, MO, went to be with Jesus, on October 15, 2023. Donna was born October 10, 1930, to Ovid and Maude Duncan in St. Louis, MO. She attended Soldan High School where she met and married the love of her life Herbert Vaughn Lindsey. They were married 66 years and spent 63 of those living and raising their family and many other neighbor kids in the house they built on Parkwood Place in Maryland Heights.
Donna began her career at Sears Roebuck at Northwest Plaza, then in 1968 she joined the Pattonville School District where she worked for 24 years. Donna worked at the high school cafeteria and daily counseled and guided students and primarily teachers and administrators that came through her line just to see her and seek her comfort and compassion when needed.
In 1992, Donna retired from Pattonville and began her volunteering work at her church John Calvin Presbyterian and at the Bridgeton Clergy Helping Ministry (BCHM). While volunteering, Donna impacted many families in need as she provided comfort, guidance and support to many throughout our local community.
Donna will always be remembered and will be sorely missed by those who knew her especially her family, best friend and neighbor Rose and her fur baby, Charlie.
Donna is survived by her sister, Betty Morris of Chesterfield, four children, Kevin (Dana) Lindsey of O'Fallon, Keith (Olivia) Lindsey of Moscow Mills, Kathy Lindsey of St. Ann and Kim (Bill) Hoskins of Maryland Heights.
She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Gabe (Lyndsy) Lindsey, Keith Lindsey Jr., DeAnna (Mark) Holmes, Emily (Jacob) Willen, David Stogsdill, Lindsey Oldham, Heather (Kent) Wilkerson and Joe (Carli) Hoskins, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Donna was incredibly proud of her family, friends and all those she helped throughout her life.
Donna was proceeded in death by her daughter, Debbie, her husband Vaughn, brother-in-law Dave Morris and her parents Ovid and Maude Duncan.
A private service is planned for the family on November 1, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Valhalla Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make a contribution to the charity of your choice.
