Braswell, David Paul, 73, of Florissant, Missouri passed away on November 8, 2019.
David was born in Charleston, West Virginia and graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
David was a Staff Sergeant in the US Air Force And served 4 years with active duty including Vietnam. After an Honorable discharge, David worked in Retail Management at Sears for over 25 years.
After retirement David traveled along the Kentucky bourbon trail to add on to his ever growing Bourbon collection. He loved to sip on that bourbon with family and friends while rooting on his UK Wildcats. David also enjoyed Lionel trains and continued year after year to add on to his elaborate train display. He loved to surprise the grandkids every Christmas showing them the new locomotive, box car or building he added.
David is survived by his two children, Scott David (Christi) Braswell and Michelle Lynne (Joel) Donato; 3 grandchildren, Max Vincent Donato, Adeline Taylor and Hannah Jean Braswell; and dear sister, Kathryn Braswell.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Paul and Luella Virginia; son Robert Paul Braswell; and beloved dog Bailey.
David will be buried at Jefferson Barracks in a private ceremony on November 20, 2019 at 10:30 am. A Celebration of Life will be held at Cugino’s restaurant in Florissant Missouri on November 21, 2019 from 4:30-7:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to National Vietnam Veterans Foundation or Five Acres Animal Shelter.
