David L. Cooper, Sr.

David was born June 25, 1951 in Memphis, Tennessee, and passed away Dec. 4, 2018, in St. Louis, Missouri.
He is survived by his son David (Erin) Cooper, Jr. of Madison, Tennessee; and daughter Stephanie (Gary) Watson and grandsons Landon and Siler of Collierville, Tennessee, leaving behind a wealth of cherished memories with all of them. David passed along to his children his interests including a love of cooking, travel, Broadway productions, and Tennessee Walking Horses.
He was preceded in death by Janie Wheeler Cooper (1999), his wife of 25+ years; Larry W. Cooper (2005), his brother; his mother, Frances Carolyn (Spencer) Cooper (1988); and his father, Jesse Sewell Cooper (1989).
At the time of his death, David lived in St. Louis, Missouri, with his wife, Carol. He also leaves two step-sons, Jim (Shannon) Latzke and Jeff (Chrissy) Latzke, and the latter couple’s children, Cameron and Audrey, in the St. Louis area.
David’s remains will be interred by Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens with a private graveside service at a later date. No public service or viewing will be held, at David's request.
