Daniel Joseph Pierce

Daniel (“Dan”) Joseph Pierce, 79, of O’Fallon, MO, entered his heavenly home on October 5, 2026.

Dan was the loving husband of Sharon Pierce (nee Mattingly) for 57 years; loving father of his three children Daniel (Judy) Pierce, Timothy (Tiffany) Pierce, and Kevin (Amy) Pierce; loving Papa to his grandchildren Aidan, Ryhan, Brenden (Haley), Drew, Collin, Keenen, Kevin, Nathan, Matthew, Joshua, James, and David; dear brother of Thomas (Carolynn) Pierce, and William (JoAnn) Pierce. He is preceded in death by his parents, Adrian Pierce and Mary Pierce (nee Burke); sisters Patricia (Jim) Harper, Kathleen (Ken) Mueller, Adrianne (Dave) Sczepanski, and Geraldine (Sam) Cardinale; and brothers Frank (Martha) Pierce and Harry (Jean) Pierce.

Dan enjoyed his job as “Papa” to his twelve grandchildren. He loved all things sports, especially Mizzou sports, even when they made him yell at the television. Dan worked for Southwestern Bell as a Communications Technician for 42 years before retiring to spend time with his family and travel. Dan and Sharon loved spending the cold winter months with their Bahamas family.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, O’Fallon, MO on October 22, 2026. A private gathering will be held immediately after at The Penalty Box in O’Fallon, MO.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the American Kidney Fund.
