Daniel Patrick Peterson, 42, of Ballwin, MO, passed away peacefully on 04/11/2026 surrounded by family and friends.

He was born on December 02, 1983 in St. Louis to Charles and Maureen Peterson (Richter). Dan grew up in Imperial, attended Holy Child School, St. Pius X High School in Crystal City and graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Dan furthered his education with a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Missouri Baptist University. In his professional career, he worked at a few different companies (Mercy, Square, Express Scripts) where he was commended for his dedication, work ethic, and overall presence he had in the workplace.

Dan loved big. Dan was known for his care, kindness, sense of humor, and generosity. The love and commitment he had for his family and friends was tangible. He could light up a room with his infectious laugh and bright smile. Dan enjoyed being with his children, watching movies, listening to music and being a Mizzou fan. He will be remembered for his bold love, magnetic personality, and his loyalty to those he loved.

He is survived by his wife Chiara, his daughter, Penelope, his son, Donovin, his mother Maureen, his brothers Christopher (Annette), Stephen (Renae), Jonathan (Hannah), his step siblings Laura and Dan (Kelsey), 14 nieces and nephews, and one great-niece - all of whom he cherished deeply. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles (Max) Peterson and stepfather, Kirk Richter.

A memorial service will be held at Holy Infant Catholic Church in Ballwin on Friday, May 8th at 02:00pm. A Celebration of Life to share stories will be held on May 8th from 5:30pm - 8:30pm, with casual black or gold dress and appetizers at Schlafly Tap Room - 2100 Locust St.
