Salazar, Carlos Michael, 75, of Lake Lotawana, MO passed on October 28, 2022.
Carlos was born in Kansas City, MO June 26, 1947, to Victor and Antonia Salazar. He grew up in Northeast surrounded by aunts, uncles, cousins and made many lifelong friends. He graduated from Northeast High School in 1965, and attended Donnelly College.
Carlos started working for Hallmark at the age of 17 where he worked for 29 years. He was married in 1973, and started a family in 1976. He spent many years taking his four kids to practices, games, and sporting events. After retiring from Hallmark in 1993, Carlos spent the next 29 years living his best life traveling and hanging with his friends and family whom he loved so much. His passion was listening to live Blues music, eating good food, and cheering on his favorite sports teams (Chiefs, Royals, Lightning) with those he loved. He made friends everywhere he went on his many travels all over the country attending and helping coordinate different music events. Carlos never met a stranger, lived every day like it was his last, and was truly one of a kind.
He is survived by his four children, Aaron M. (Kimberly) Salazar, Justin M. Salazar, Christian D. Salazar, and Sarah E. Salazar. His two grandchildren, Chase L. Salazar, and Braden M. Salazar. His two great-grandchildren Dominic (Niko) J. Salazar, and Sophia Rose Salazar. His sister Maria (Ed) Williams and brother Victor (Michele) Salazar. His nephews Eddie Williams, Eric Williams, Ryan Higgins, and niece Nina Salazar as well as many cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents Victor C. Salazar and Antonia G. Salazar, and brother Victor Salazar Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, November 20th at Drexel Hall in KCMO (3301 Baltimore Ave) from 2pm-6pm.
