Bruce Edward Porter, 66, of St. Charles, MO, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 5th, 2025 at Evelyn’s hospice House. Cherished son of Carol Porter and the late Robert Porter, devoted father of Kaitlin and Jill Porter. The loving grandfather of Mason and Avery.
Bruce is survived by sister Gail Porter, dear brother of Kirk (Maryanne), Chad (Susan). Uncle to Danielle Millett (Ken), Sean Kiernan, Sarah Jones (Chris), Brett Porter, Brian (Amanda) Porter, Blake Porter, Alexandra (Willie) Ocampo. Great Uncle to Hank Millet, Macklin, Jillian, and Camden Kiernan, Tucker and Addie Jones, Shepherd and Willa Ocampo
Bruce was born in St. Louis, MO and graduated from St. Charles High School where he found many lasting friendships. He was a dedicated and sincere employee for over 40 years at Edwards Carpet, retiring in 2023.
His hobbies included the love of golf, weekend rounds with the Kurt Moore group, playing pool, weight lifting, playing croquet at Kroeger family reunions, Pontoon boat rides at Mark Twain lake, bike rides with daughters on the Katy Trail, playing Canasta, and enjoying live music on main street.
Bruce was a simple man with extraordinary qualities of life and living. He faced life’s challenges without complaint and was always available to lend a helping hand.
