Bonnie Jean Wilson
April 29, 1946 – August 14, 2025
With a heavy heart and immense love, we announce that Bonnie Jean Wilson, 79, of Ballwin, MO ended a long and courageous battle with cancer on August 14, 2025. Throughout her journey, she faced her illness with incredible strength, grace and an unwavering spirit that inspired those who knew her.
Born on April 29,1946 in Kennett, MO to Dempsey and Mamie Brandon, Bonnie dedicated her life to her family. She married the love of her life, Charles Wilson, in 1967 and together they built a beautiful life.
Bonnie was a woman of quiet elegance and profound intellect. She carried herself with grace and dignity, her understated style reflecting a deep appreciation for beauty and quality. While she maintained a private life, those fortunate enough to be counted among her inner circle cherished her sharp wit, thoughtful insights, infectious laughter and unwavering loyalty. Her private nature was not a sign of indifference, but rather a reflection of her contemplative spirit and deep need for solitude. She embraced the simple beauty of nature, music, writing and the quiet contemplation of complex ideas; her home was her sanctuary. Her greatest joy, however, was found in her role as a mother and the unique and unbreakable bond with her daughter. Their relationship was a tapestry woven with shared secrets, unconditional love, and an enduring friendship that transcended the typical mother-daughter dynamic. She was a steadfast presence and trusted confidante through every joy and challenge in her daughter’s life; truly a best friend. She will be remembered for her warmth, brilliant mind, elegant demeanor, and quiet strength of character.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Charles, daughter, Shannon, and sister, Brenda, as well as extended family and close friends.
Out of respect for Bonnie’s lifelong preference for privacy and her final wishes, there will be no memorial service. Please honor her privately in your heart and memories. May her spirit rest in peace, forever cherished and deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, Bonnie’s family requests that donations be made to Pink Ribbon Good (www.pinkribbongood.org), an organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by Breast and Gynecological cancers.
