Bonnie L. Burgett

Bonnie Burgett, of St. Louis, MO, died on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at the age of 84. Beloved daughter, sister, aunt, great aunt, and beloved friend. Bonnie was a master teacher, giving her heart to the educational process and to her students.

She was a treasured mentor to new teachers. She taught Physical Education, English, History and was an active coach for many girls' sports teams. Bonnie received her education degree from Harris-Stowe Teachers College, her master's degree from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, and her master's plus 30 from various colleges including San Diego State and Southeast Missouri State-Cape Girardeau, MO. She received a "Distinguished Alumni" award from Harris-Stowe. Bonnie taught for 35 years and finished her career in an administrative capacity. She enjoyed golf, reading, collecting coins and traveling. She touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.
