Bettie Lanham

Bettie Jean Lanham, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, died peacefully surrounded by family on June 24, 2025. She was 92 years old. Bettie was born on February 13th,1933 in Owensboro, Ky., the first child of Conrad and Martha Payne and graduated from St Francis High School.

She is survived by her children, Joseph P. Lanham, Jr. (Carol), Patrick D. Lanham, Craig A. Lanham and Eric W. Lanham (Heidi); Grandchildren, Thielo E. Lanham, Jordan Lanham Bright, Tanner P. Lanham, TJ Lanham, Devon Conrad Joseph Lanham, Sydney Rose Lanham and Alesi G. Lanham; Great Grandchildren, Sawyer Bright, Parker Lanham, Fitz Lanham, Mila Lanham, Olive Lanham

Bettie was preceded in death by her son, Charles C. Lanham, in 1994 and her husband, Joseph P. (Skip) Lanham, Sr. in 2015. Bettie was born on February 13th,1933 in Owensboro, Ky., the first child of Conrad and Martha Payne and graduated from St Francis High School.

Before relocating to St Charles County, she was an active and dedicated congregant of Immanuel Lutheran Chapel in Florissant.

A gathering of friends and family will be held from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, September 5th, at 7001 Brassel Dr, O’Fallon, Mo 63368 (Clubhouse next to pool)

In lieu of flowers, Bettie requested donations be made to the National Association on Mental Illness at https://www.nami.org/. The family would like to thank the staff at EverTrue – Breeze Park for the outstanding quality of care our mother received.
