Alyce Elinore Cakalic

d. May 11, 2021

Alyce Elinore Cakalic (nee: Lentz), 82, of Saint Peters, Missouri, died May 11, 2021.

Alyce was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on September 17, 1938 to Chester F. and Geraldine E. (nee: Earp) Lentz. She was the second of five children.

Alyce married Michael Cakalic on January 12, 1960, and together they raised seven children. They were married for 49 years before Michael fell asleep in death in June of 2009.

Alyce enjoyed doing crafts, especially crocheting gifts for those whom she loved. She loved being able to give a baby blanket or sweater to a dear friend or family member for their new child. She also loved creating her own designs and sharing her creations with loved ones.

Alyce loved traveling all over the globe, especially with her husband and family, and particularly treasured their opportunities to attend International Conventions of Jehovah's Witnesses and be a part of a worldwide brotherhood of those who serve Jehovah God. Her faith was very important to her and she enjoyed being involved in helping others come to know and love Jehovah. Her greatest joy came from seeing her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren build personal relationships with Jehovah God, and their love for Jehovah, and the faith they were building in Him, made her so proud. It's just about all she talked about during the last year.

The Kingdom Songs and Original Songs were the soundtrack of her life. She loved singing them with her friends and family, listening to them in the car, around the house, and when she went to bed. She would often quote them or break out in song during conversations with others because the words had truly touched her heart.

Alyce is survived by six of her children: Thomas (Linda) Cakalic, James Cakalic, Deborah (Timothy) Kloeppel, Sharon (Nick) Pavlovits, Suzanne Cakalic, and David (Tina) Cakalic; her 12 grandchildren: Luke, Ian, Heather, Fallon, Trystan, Nathaniel, Dustin, Allison, Nick, Sasha, Benjamin, and Dylan; her four great-granddaughters: Azaleah, Jacqueline, Beatrix, and Hannah; her siblings: Betty Miller, Frank Lentz, Mary Jane Fair, and Doris Lentz, as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Geraldine Lentz, her husband, Michael Cakalic, and son John Andrew Mark “Andy” Cakalic.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations to be made to Jehovah's Witnesses at donate.jw.org.
