Aaron McLemore

1955 — 2005

St. Louis, Missouri

Aaron “Mac” McLemore was born on November 23, 1955, in Saint Louis, Missouri, to the union of Joe Beasley and Luverne McLemore (née Cole). He was one of several siblings: Charlene (Benny) Gibson, Robert (Betty) Williams, Jessie “Marie” (Eld. Isadore, Jr.) Davis, John “Sam” (Henrietta) Cole, Carolyn (William) Tomlin, Marcus “Mark” (Denise) McLemore. Among them, his beloved sister Marie remains as his only surviving sibling.

Aaron received his education in the Saint Louis Public School System. He attended Mullanphy Elementary School and went on to attend William McKinley High School.

He was a devoted family man who took immense pride in his role as both a father and a grandfather. Aaron had one biological daughter, Nikki McLemore-Taylor, from a previous relationship. When he married Paulette Miller on February 20, 2004, he lovingly embraced her children Erica, Jermaine, and Andre as his own. He cherished all his children deeply, instilling in them love, protection, and strength.

His heart swelled with pride when it came to his grandchildren. He especially loved being called “Grandpa” or “Papa” and found pure joy in spending time with them. His family meant everything to him, and he was the foundation upon which their love and security were built.

To Paulette, Aaron was more than a husband, he was her best friend, her soulmate, and her unwavering protector. Their love stood strong through life’s seasons. Even though Paulette preceded him in death on July 11, 2017, we take comfort in knowing that they are now joyfully reunited in eternal peace.

Aaron spent many years as a dedicated employee at Intertherm in St. Louis, Missouri. Later, he worked at Schnucks Markets until his health began to decline. He was known for his hard work, dependability, and the deep respect he earned from colleagues throughout his career.

Known affectionately in his neighborhood as “Papa,” Aaron had a warm, magnetic presence and a heart as big as his personality. He brought joy and laughter to those around him and left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was truly a pillar in his community and a blessing to all who knew him.

Aaron’s legacy of love, kindness, and commitment will forever live in the hearts of his family, friends, and the many lives he touched.

Aaron leaves to cherish his memory his devoted children: Nikki McLemore-Taylor, Erica Miller, Jermaine Perkins, and Andre Perkins; his loving sister, Marie (Eld. Isadore, Jr.) Davis; 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will miss him dearly.

2 Timothy 4:7–8 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing".
